On March 22, during “Northrup King Nights,” the public is invited to view Prints and Drawings by artists Amy Rice, Ingrid Restemayer, and Jo Ann Hendricks together in studio 401-b in the Northrup King Building! Minnesota artists Amy Rice, Ingrid Restemayer, and Jo Ann Hendricks’ combined exhibition histories total over ninety years. Restemayer hails from North Dakota, Hendricks from Iowa, and Rice from Wisconsin. But all have called the Twin Cities home for multiple decades and are all well established in the visual arts community.
Amy Rice is a printmaker who reuses visual elements in a way that unfolds a story over time.
Ingrid Restemayer uses dental tools to make drypoint etchings that hint at stories waiting to be told.
Jo Ann Hendricks evocative painted drawings created during live sessions with professional models also suggest an untold narrative.
